I was standing in the courtyard outside of Paul Revere’s House and I saw this small plant growing up from the bricks in the wall. This plant was the only one that was able to grow up from the bricks.  If you know the Parable of the Mustard Seed, then you will partially understand why I found this so cool.  Mustard seeds are some of the smallest seeds in the world, but they have the capability of growing to be very strong.  This plant was extremely resilient and strong to withstand rocky conditions in this wall.

There are several things that I especially like about this picture. The texture of the bricks is very neat to observe because each part has a slightly different look to it. It is also surprising how the plant grows in a similar vertical geometry with the mortar lines between the bricks. Next time you are somewhere of interest, or rather anywhere, take a good look around. You may be surprised at what small details you find waiting immediately around you that could make for an excellent picture.
