Recently, while taking the Chicago Water Taxi, I was looking around and enjoying the ride, and I saw this unique house located on a bridge near the river.  Often, many of the photographs of Chicago that are posted are traditional pictures of the skyline.  After looking back at my photos from the day, I wanted to share this with you because I think it is truly a hidden gem.

There are several details in this photo that I especially love. The cloudy, blank sky in the upper half of the photo in comparison with all of the lines present in the bottom half of the photo help to focus on the house.  There are so many different lines, the vertical, diagonal, and upper beveled edge of the bridge; all of which help to divide up the photograph. There is a strong contrast between the traditional brick buildings in the background and the outdated and worn-down nature of both the house and the bridge.  The house has become so weathered over time, and the graffiti present on the walls help to make it more artistic.
